Dr. Dan Bermea started his career as a nurse at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in their premier Neurosurgical Unit and at Seattle's County Hospital in their Neuro/Trauma Unit. He advanced his knowledge by becoming a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and  getting his Trauma Nurse Certification (TNCC). This is where his passion for anesthesia and the mind began. He became interested in the use of ketamine and other adjunct therapies throughout his anesthesia training. He developed a passion to help not only with a patients acute/chronic pain, but their mind as well. Dr. Bermea actively practices anesthesia at offices, surgery centers, and hospitals around the greater Chicagoland area and NW Indiana. As a Nurse Anesthesiologist, he has been using ketamine in his practice for years, continually looking for new ways to implement its use. Dr. Bermea stays up-to-date with the most current research and has excelled at the following academic institutions graduating with honors:

Dr. Nadi Akileh is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist at IVitalize, a wellness & therapeutics center aimed at restoring a patients physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Concurrently, Dr. Akileh works at several accredited surgical centers and clinics in the state of Illinois and Indiana. Dr. Akileh maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists (AANA), the Illinois Association of Nurse Anesthetists (IANA), and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Dr. Akileh practices opioid free anesthesia and is proficient at Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia. Outside of work, Dr. Akileh enjoys spending time with his wife, children, family, and friends. Dr. Akileh’s education is as follows:

  • Attended St. Xavier University in Chicago illinois in 2007 where he studied pharmaceuticals and computer science

  • Attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois where he studied nursing

  • Graduated from Lakeview College of Nursing in 2011 where he was chosen to speak on behalf of his fellow cohort.

  • Graduated from Millikin University in 2016 with his doctorate degree in nursing specializing in anesthesia where he was selected to represent his cohort in Washington D.C.

  • Gained his certification to practice nurse anesthesiology in 2016 by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
